Trust the Timing
Have you ever looked back at a “disaster” in your life and realized it was actually a detour to something better?
Sometimes, the door closing in your face is the universe’s way of protecting you from a room you weren’t meant to be in. We don’t always see the full picture while we’re in the middle of the storm, but adversity often carries the seeds of our greatest growth. Those “hidden blessings” usually reveal themselves once the dust settles.
If you’re feeling a bit shaken today, remember that you don’t have to have all the answers right now. You just need to find your center.
3 Ways to Find Your Ground Today:
- The 5-4-3-2-1 Method: Direct your focus outward to quiet the internal noise. Acknowledge 5 things you see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.
- Box Breathing: Regulate your nervous system by inhaling for 4 seconds, holding for 4, exhaling for 4, and holding for 4. Repeat until your heart rate slows.
- Physical Connection: Take your shoes off and stand on the grass, or simply press your feet firmly into the floor. Feel the support beneath you.
You are resilient, you are capable, and you are exactly where you need to be to get to where you’re going.
