Protecting Your Light: Why Your Peace is the Greatest Resistance

The Rabbit Hole is a Trap

We’ve all felt it lately—that heavy, magnetic pull toward the latest headlines surrounding the Epstein files. It’s dark, it’s intense, and it’s designed to keep you clicking. But here is the hard truth: exposing yourself to consistent, high-level trauma content isn’t “staying informed.” It is a tool for mass trauma.

When we immerse ourselves in things this dark—things we cannot personally control—our spirits begin to dim. We slip into a “survival mode” where our empathy gets exhausted and we lose sight of our actual lives. You stop seeing the beauty in your own world because your inner eye is fixed on a darkness far away. You become a prisoner of a story you didn’t write and can’t finish.

The Strategy of Distraction

There is a profound difference between being aware and being consumed. Often, these massive waves of darkness serve a singular purpose: to distract you from the light you were meant to bring into the world right now.

Ask yourself: What is this noise keeping me from seeing? Every minute spent down a rabbit hole of trauma is a minute stolen from your purpose, your family, and your growth. This is the true “mass brainwashing” of our time—not just changing what you think, but controlling where you put your energy. While the world screams for your attention toward things that cause fear, your true calling is likely happening right in front of you.

Be the Light, Not the Judge

You cannot heal the world by joining it in its trauma. You were meant to be a light in the dark, but you can’t shine if you’re drowning in the shadows. True change doesn’t happen in the rabbit hole; it happens when we choose to remain grounded, centered, and radiant. When you stay in your heart space, you become a lighthouse.

Tips to Stay Grounded & Take Action:

  • Set a “Truth Timer”: Limit your news intake to 15 minutes a day. Once the timer is up, close the tab.
  • Audit Your Energy: Before you click, ask: “Will this information help me love better, serve more, or grow closer to my purpose?” If the answer is no, let it go.
  • Analog Connection: Spend an hour doing something with your hands—gardening, cooking, or writing. Get out of the digital ether and back into the physical world.
  • Micro-Philanthropy: Can’t solve global issues? Help one person. Donate to a local food bank, check on an elderly neighbor, or mentor a student.
  • Guard Your Internal Gates: Your eyes and ears are the windows to your soul. Fill your space with music, art, and conversations that lift the spirit rather than weigh it down.
  • Breathwork: When you feel that “survival mode” buzz in your chest, take five deep breaths. Remind your heart and your body that you are safe in this moment.

Your power isn’t in knowing every dark detail; it’s in the light you choose to bring to the world today.
