Once upon a time, there was this girl who rocked the business world. She built relationships and developed leaders all over the globe. Team building and coaching were her strengths. She was unstoppable; her fire lit a fire in all of her team members. Her tribe would follow her to the end of the earth because there was the excitement of momentus growth in their businesses.
Then one day, tragedy struck in this girl’s life. Life happens right? After tragedy, comes the burn out. After the burn out, comes the loss of passion for what she was doing. The snowball effect kicked in and her business died down. This girl who once was legendary, lost her way. She spend years trying things that really didn’t pan out. Nothing sparked that fire or desire to run with the opportunity. Nothing was quite the same, until now!
After years of floating in the breeze, self reflecting, and a crazy global pandemic that fire came back! It’s amazing how the right people come in your life at the right time. All the pieces that were once scattered start lining up. I truly believe you are in the place you were meant to be at this time. You just need to learn to recognize the opportunity when it’s right in front of you. You need to see the vision of the future at maximum potential possibility.
It’s really easy to get stuck in the successes of the past. If you get stuck celebrating something that was special and amazing in the past, you miss the opportunity to celebrate new successes. You must be open to new adventures. Acknowledge that something was audacious when it happens, but move on quickly to the next goal or chance to succeed. Don’t hold yourself back from maximum potential. You accomplished a goal…don’t be a one hit wonder.
It’s okay to move on from the past. It’s okay to start over. You can start over as many times as you need to until you find that fire again. You need to feel the passion from within! You know when it’s the right thing to put your time and effort into.
One thing that holds people back from starting over is what other people will think. My answer to this is that it doesn’t matter what other people think. It’s up to you to do what you think is the right choice at that time. If you gave your business everything and it’s just not working out, it’s okay to say “this isn’t working out”. It’s okay to switch to something else. Your story is written by you alone. Don’t give people the power to allow yourself to doubt your choices. Your choices are your choices.
It’s okay to begin anew. Everyone starts from the same place…with a clean slate.
